1. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in any course at Georex Plant Operators Training Centre, accessing our website, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not enroll in our programs or use our services.
2. Enrollment and Registration
To enroll in our courses, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age (21 for certain programs such as mobile crane operations)
- Provide accurate and complete information in your application
- Submit all required documentation, including valid ID, medical fitness certificate, and educational certificates
- Pay the required fees as per the agreed payment plan
- Meet any program-specific prerequisites or requirements
We reserve the right to reject any application that does not meet our requirements or standards.
3. Fees and Payments
Payment terms and conditions:
- All fees must be paid as per the agreed schedule and payment plan
- Failure to pay fees on time may result in suspension from classes or cancellation of enrollment
- Fees are non-refundable once the course has commenced, except in cases of documented medical emergencies
- Fee structures are subject to change with prior notice to enrolled students
- Additional fees may apply for retakes, extra materials, or special services
- All fees are quoted in Kenyan Shillings (KES) unless otherwise stated
4. Attendance and Conduct
Students are required to:
- Maintain minimum 90% attendance for certification eligibility
- Arrive on time for all classes and practical sessions
- Conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times
- Follow all safety protocols and instructions from instructors
- Respect instructors, staff, and fellow students
- Maintain the training facilities and equipment in good condition
- Complete all assignments, assessments, and examinations
Failure to meet attendance or conduct requirements may result in disqualification from certification.
5. Safety and Liability
Safety is our top priority. All students must:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols at all times
- Use provided safety equipment correctly and consistently
- Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately
- Follow all instructions from instructors and safety officers
Georex provides necessary safety equipment and training, but is not liable for injuries resulting from:
- Failure to follow safety protocols or instructions
- Negligence or willful misconduct by the student
- Use of equipment in an unauthorized manner
Students are strongly advised to obtain personal accident insurance coverage.
6. Certification
Certification is awarded only upon successful completion of all course requirements, including:
- Minimum 90% attendance
- Successful completion of all assessments
- Passing practical examinations
- Payment of all outstanding fees
Certificates must be collected in person with valid identification. Replacement certificates may be issued for a fee.
Our certifications are recognized nationally and internationally, but employment opportunities depend on individual employers' requirements.
7. Disciplinary Action
Georex reserves the right to suspend or dismiss students for:
- Violation of safety protocols or instructions
- Misconduct, disruptive behavior, or harassment
- Failure to meet attendance requirements
- Use of drugs or alcohol on premises
- Damage to equipment or facilities
- Academic dishonesty or cheating
- Non-payment of fees
- Any behavior that compromises the safety or learning environment
Disciplinary actions may include warnings, suspension, dismissal, or legal action where appropriate. Fees will not be refunded in cases of dismissal due to misconduct.
8. Intellectual Property
All training materials, curriculum, course content, videos, manuals, and educational resources are the intellectual property of Georex Plant Operators Training Centre and are protected by copyright laws.
Students are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use these materials solely for personal educational purposes during their enrollment. You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or share training materials without permission
- Use materials for commercial purposes
- Create derivative works based on our content
- Remove copyright notices or proprietary markings
9. Limitation of Liability
Georex provides training and certification services but:
- Does not guarantee employment or job placement
- Does not guarantee specific salary levels or career outcomes
- Provides job placement assistance as a value-added service, not a guarantee
- Is not responsible for employment decisions made by third-party employers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Georex's liability is limited to the amount of fees paid by the student.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Changes will be:
- Posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date
- Communicated to enrolled students via email for material changes
- Effective immediately upon posting, unless otherwise stated
Continued enrollment or use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
